I'm consistently reminded of the futility of 9/11 truth efforts by the constant parading of scientific "facts" of 9/11 truthers. With little more than 2% of the needed evidence to make a conclusive statement on the destruction of the Twin Towers, Building seven and the Pentagon there will never be a smoking gun to brandish to the American sheeple.
Now six years plus after the event there is still no conclusive evidence proving one theory or another in the debate of the MO for the Towers collapses. This issue should be closed and new ones forged. If one is to read the articles on the second scholars for 9/11 truth site, the sect now largely led by Steven Jones you will see the paltry additions for the September '07 so called "Journal of 9/11 studies". Much of what is now written in this useless journal is retread of old theories still unprovable by conventional science. Why the circumstantial evidence clearly exists for foul play, explosives, etc. there has not been any effort made to ascertain other aspects of the case. We all know about the anomalies of Cheney's testimony and the need for him speaking under oath. We all know about the strange collapse of the Twin Towers. What needs to be etched out is a strategy for thwarting a second attack, and if and when one happens stopping the illegal removal of evidence, calling for proper legal procedures, and proper documentation/collection of evidence. This in conjunction with theories on how to best win the hearts and minds of the average American are what now needs to be written about.
While many in the 9/11 truth movement have pontificated on their own version of events, the rest of the world has moved on excepting official theories. The damage of 9/11 has already been wrought. No scientific treatise will ever expose the "truth". As in the Courtroom as it is in the court of public opinion: there will always be experts to refute expert findings. I find that Steven Jones reasoning is flawed, science is not the best way to go about this. Science certainly is not what the government has been dispensing and they have many still drinking the Kool-Aid. I think it would behoove the 9/11 truth movement to put down petty bickering on scientific evidence/details and embrace some intuition and emotion on the issue.
